Call for Proposals:
The annual meeting of the Society for the Philosophical Study of Education
will be held on Friday, November 7th and Saturday, November 8th, 2008 at
the downtown campus of National-Louis University in Chicago. The program
committee is accepting proposals for papers or symposiums addressing
philosophical issues in education. Authors whose work is accepted for inclusion
within the conference will also have the opportunity to submit their work
for publication in the peer-reviewed Proceedings of the Society for the
Philosophical Study of Education.
Submission Guidelines: Proposals for papers
and symposiums should provide a detailed overview of the project including
the central questions and summary of the research. Proposals should be no
more than 750 words for papers or 1500 words for symposiums and electronically
submitted in.doc or .rtf format to
jhelfer@knox.edu. Presenters will need
to supply their own technology.
Graduate Student presentations and papers are
enthusiastically invited and will be considered for the following awards:
The Annual Michael Oliker Award, The Father Dr. Walter Krolikowski Award,
and the SPSE Award. Each recipient will receive a $100 award.
Submission Deadline: September10th, 2008.
