The science
departments at CSU are committed to improving the instructional environment
for our students at all levels of instruction. CSU has received many
awards for instructional reform through competitive grants from agencies such
as the National Science Foundation and the Department of Defense.
Students at CSU can construct an individualized program with a low student to
faculty ratio. Our
instructional environment is positioning the Science Programs at CSU as
leaders in Urban Science Education. CSU students
see innovative instructional approaches throughout their academic
careers. The science departments are extremely active in assessment and
educational research and have published papers and given presentations on their
work at meetings held by organizations such as the National Science Teachers
Association, the American Educational Research Association, the National
Association of Research in Science Teaching, the Association for Science
Teacher Education, and the American Association of Physics Teachers. |
