Welcome to Chicago State University’s Open House

Below is a list of activities that will take place from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 20, 2019. During this time, you are free to visit the presentations and partake in our campus tours at your convenience.

11:00 – Noon Undergraduateand Graduate Academic Resource Fair – CSU offers more than 60 majors, minors and concentrations.  Speak with faculty, staff and students in the area you’re most interested in.

11:30 – Noon Undergraduate - Admissions/Financial Aid – Workshop – This workshop will provide useful information about the application process for admissions and helpful tips related to financial aid and scholarships for freshmen and transfer students. Gwendolyn Brooks Library – 4th Floor (Auditorium)
11:30 – 12:30 p.m. Graduate – Admissions/Financial Aid – Workshop – This workshop is designed for students interested in pursing a graduate/professional degree.  Topics will include admission requirements and opportunities for scholarships. Cordell Reed Student Union – Conference Room B&C
Noon – 12:30 p.m. Undergraduate - Admissions/Financial Aid – Workshop (Spanish) – This workshop will provide useful information about the application process for admissions and helpful tips related to financial aid and scholarships for freshmen and transfer students. Gwendolyn Brooks Library – 4th Floor (Auditorium)
11:00 – 1:30 p.m. Counselor Corner – Meet one-on-one with an undergraduate admissions counselor (freshmen/transfer students) or with a member of our graduate office of admissions to apply for admission or to check your admission status.  The Office of Student Financial Aid and University Housing will also be available to discuss financial assistance and cost of attendance and more. Noon – 12:30 p.m. Academic College and Departmental Showcases – Speak with faculty for an overview of your academic major or area of interest.  Get details about each session at the Undergraduate/Graduate Resource Fair. Various Campus Locations
12:40 - 1:10 p.m. Academic College and Departmental Showcases – Speak with faculty for an overview of your academic major or area of interest.  Get details about each session at the Undergraduate/Graduate Resource Fair. Various Campus Locations
1:15 – 2:00 p.m. Lunch and Musical Concert – Grab a delicious lunch and enjoy a spectacular musical performance hosted by the CSU Music Department. Douglas Hall – Breakey Theatre - 1st Floor
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Optional Campus Tours – Walking and Trolley – Led by a current student and last approximately 30-45 minutes.  Tour ticket required.  Last Tour at 2:15 p.m. Gwendolyn Brooks Library – 4th Floor (Tour Table)
